Accessibility Statement

The National Environment Protection Council (NEPC) Service Corporation is obliged by the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 to ensure that online information and services are accessible by people with disabilities. There is also the requirement to make online information accessible to those people with technical constraints, such as older web browsers and slower speed Internet connections.

The EPHC/NEPC web site has been structured and developed to meet best practice guidelines and the priority one requirements of the World Wide Web Consortium Content Accessibility Guidelines. Significant development has been undertaken in order to meet the Australian Government Online standards that relate to access for people with disabilities or technical constraints with their web browsers and Internet connections.

For technical reasons and to meet some legal requirements, the EPHC/NEPC web site has a number of documents that cannot be provided in html format. In such cases, contact details have been provided for the supply of alternative non-web formats.
